A Brooklyn private school based in Clinton Hill is set to open a new space in Bedford-Stuyvesant by 2018, according to its representatives.
The Co-op School, which already has two locations near the Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill border, will lease about 30,000 square feet at 644 Gates Ave. for 20 years to expand with a middle school, said school director Meredith Gray. (More...)

The co-owner of Nostrand Avenue’s Civil Service Café is opening a new diner on the eastern side of Bedford-Stuyvesant this spring.
The Trade Union Café, a diner and espresso bar, held its soft opening at 346 Malcolm X Blvd. near Bainbridge Street on Tuesday, according to owner Ayo Balogun.(more...)
